Snowmobile Adventures (7-Day Trip)

Chilcotin Holidays offers you the opportunity to take in the breathtaking wintry beauty of the backcountry of British Columbia while riding a snowmobile.  In the Chilcotin Mountains, there is less risk of a snowmobile avalanche than the Rockies.  Blue skies are the norm in the South Chilcotin Mountains and the average temperature for snowmobiling is -10°C.  You may bring your own snowmobile and stay in one of our private log chalets or stay in one of our mountain top cabins and cook for yourself.  All snowmobile trips are customized and everything is decided by you based on our available choices.  You have the option of going with or without a guide.  Should you decide to have a guide accompany you, here is a sample itinerary.

Day one:  Arrive at the ranch at midday and have lunch.  Have an introductory ride along the trails surrounding the ranch.  Return to the ranch for dinner and have a map orientation with your guides before spending the night in ranch accommodations.

Day two:  After breakfast, snowmobile through gorgeous mountain trails.  Return to the ranch for lunch and spend the afternoon exploring new mountain trails.  Return to the ranch for dinner and then gather around the campfire before retiring to bed.

Days three to six:  Ride out for a full day for a mountain exploration deep into the backcountry after breakfast at the ranch.  Lunch will be done on the mountains.  Continue riding past evergreens and icy blue rivers before returning to the ranch for dinner.  You may do some star-gazing before you retire to bed.

Day seven: After breakfast you will ride around your preferred trail for half a day.  Return to the ranch for a farewell lunch and depart.

There are three different snowmobiling levels:

Level 1:  Explore Nature (For beginners and ideal for families).

Level 2:  Experience Wilderness (For confident beginners, double riders and couple, and intermediate riders).

Level 3:  Challenge Backcountry (For strong physical riders and repeat guests).

Please note that we do stick as much as possible to the itinerary and to the trip you have planned with our assistance, but changes in weather and circumstances may cause us to adjust the schedules to what we see as proper.
