On our ranch based hiking trip, arrive at the ranch and enjoy lunch in our historic lodge. Take a short hike from the ranch to get adjusted to the area. Then review the trip itinerary with your guides, seeing how your trip will build in difficulty as you push yourself and gain more experience in the wilderness.
Throughout the rest of your trip, take gradually longer or more challenging hikes. Learn about flora and fauna along the way and get involved in conservation projects such as species population counts, invasive species management and data collection to make your contribution to the wilderness you are benefitting from.
On your final full day, you are ready for a full day hike where you will hike through Douglas fir forests, break out into alpine meadows above tree line and hike to the mountain tops. Enjoy lunch in the alpine meadows, before hiking back to the ranch, taking the opportunity to make the most of your nature connection.
On your final morning, learn how to do bareback riding, archery and biathlon target shooting or enjoy a final hike around the ranch before lunch with a final review of the week’s adventure.
