The ultimate challenge in wolf tracking

Where the call of the wild isn’t just a feeling.

Wolf tracking is the ultimate challenge, requiring more patience and cunning than nearly every other form of wildlife viewing. When nature rewards your persistent pursuit, however, you’ll discover the soul-stirring essence of true Canadian wildlife. Hear the mysterious, haunting howl of a wolf echoing through the valley. Feel the spine-tingling rush as you spot your first wolf, darting across the frozen lake in pursuit of its prey. Every moment of our wolf tours brims with the anticipation of what wonders the next moment holds.

The ultimate challenge

Join us for a round of nature’s ultimate chess match: wolf tracking. Test your wits and your perseverance against each move and countermove of these highly intelligent and cautious creatures. The unique challenges of this kind of wildlife viewing require individuals who find as much satisfaction in the journey as in the end goal.

The journey for wolf tracking is indeed a rewarding one. In our wolf tours, travel through backwood trails and along frozen lakes. With your guide’s expertise, you’ll learn how to identify wolf tracks in the snow and even call to the wolves across the icy lake. Every step of the way, our guides highlight opportunities for wildlife viewing, pointing out the great diversity of Canadian wildlife that surrounds you.

The thrill of the unknown

Having observed these wolves and the movements of each pack for over 25 years, we know where and when we’ll have the best chance of spotting these creatures. However, this is still wildlife viewing, so our wolf tours are subject to the whims of the wilderness. Even though this means we can’t guarantee sightings during your wolf tracking excursion, we wouldn’t dare remove the element of the unknown. Because it’s in the midst of the unknown that we experience the wild and free spirit of these emblems of Canadian wildlife.
