The Chilcotin Mountains are home to a diverse variety of Canadian wildlife, each one a unique trail leading through mountains and valleys, to views of bears, and deer, grazing in fields and creeks, while moose clop around the BC wetlands, and to places where the nimble big horn sheep clambering up the mountains, we are fortunate to be able to walk in their paths and see these animals and beautiful birds of prey, each one inspecting us as we pass, watching the other until we are far into their distance. There is always something more to see around the next bend.
The Chilcotin Mountains offers observers the chance to see spring waking the once slumbering wildlife, shaking off winters hold and welcoming the newest additions of Canada’s Wildlife. As babies emerge, eager to take on their new environments, these beautiful animals are all unknowingly becoming a part of a story, part of our life story, of our horseback adventure. From horseback, we can ride in places where vehicles can’t go, connecting us deeply to the rhythm and tune, that is nature.

There is a lot of work to do before, during and after our trip, but everyone here is ready to help each other out. As guests we get to play our part by helping guides prepare saddles and find our horse, to loading gear and brushing horses, making sure we are ready for tomorrows journey, awaits a whole new connection to nature and wildlife.
Each time you spot wildlife from far or near, it’s a thrill and delight, because we are creating memories, and experiencing them, not watching them be made by others on the television.
