Unique Features

Hiking the mountain tops

Our trips are specialized and customized, and represent a unique combination of experiences. Schedules allow for combination trips.

Combination Trips

Popular combinations include a 4-Day Guest Ranch Adventure followed by 4-Day Horse Pack Trip. A One Week Wilderness Guide Training course followed by 7-Day Horse Pack Trip. Or, a 4-Day Ranch Hike followed by 4-Day Camp Hike.

If group members interests or abilities are “mixed” then we suggest combining your wilderness adventures so they’re simultaneous. A family, for example, may choose a Horse Pack Trip and a Fishing Trip based from the same camp.

Our all-inclusive packages include your accommodation, meals, and guides. Other features, such as the transportation of your gear during your alpine hike, or the tack and related equipment during your pack trip, are also part of the package. Lake

Target practice, bareback lessons, fishing, gold panning, flyfishing lessons, horse logging demonstrations and grizzly viewing are only some of the exciting western Multi Add-On Activities that are available to our guests.

Healthy Meals

You’ll find it hard to believe you are in the wilderness when you are dining on our legendary western fare. Satisfy your newfound appetite on unlimited fresh fruit and vegetables, lots of home made baking, and delicious and hearty main courses. Guests frequently take our recipes home! Some favorites include candied salmon, barbecued ribs, tomato salad with balsamic and olive oil dressing, chick pea and spinach salad, oatmeal cookies, and butter tart squares.

Our guide-to-guest ratio is among the highest in the industry, and forms the basis for our personal and customized service. Whether it is wilderness trail education, learning wildlife habits or the perfect fly fishing technique, every visitor is sure to find their life enriched by the experience and new skills they take home with them.

Everyone knows that a well-matched group can make or break a trip, so we match our guests according to similar abilities, interests, and ages. Here is how it works: You assess your level, and when you book, this “sets the standard” for the trip. We then match others according to similar interests and abilities. Families, for example, are matched with families, and not with other adults. Experienced are matched with experienced, and novice with novice. Our guests can rest assured that the camaraderie of their group will be one of the many highlights.

If you put your own group together, it takes the pressure of matching a group off of us. To show our appreciation, an organizer that brings six or more guests comes at no charge. Spread across the group, this represents a saving of almost 15%. If you are your own group, you can have the Guest Ranch or camp for your own private adventure. Whether you bring your own group or we match the group, Ranch Based groups of 12 and under are preferred. Groups of 8 are ideal for pack horse trips, and groups of 10 are easily accommodated for hiking trips. Larger groups are accommodated by special request.

Service makes the difference. We want you to get the most out of your wilderness experience, so we take care of all the work and all the details. There is no camp setup, no cooking or cleaning, and no grocery packing. We even provide transportation between Vancouver and our Guest Ranch so that you can enjoy the spectacular scenery and not worry about the driving or directions.
