At the Canadian Wilderness Tourism Training Centre, we cover the spectrum of tourism training on-site from the introduction of training to actual hands-on practicums, university internships, and co-op programs. Students benefit from the diversity of our wilderness tourism business which allows a varied curriculum. Western living, survival in the Canadian wilderness, and tourism are the main themes at the ranch.
Our individual courses and content include Horse Based Wilderness Guide Training, Wilderness Lodge Management, and HR Training. Upon completing a wilderness guide training course, participants are invited to apply for an internship position at the Guest Ranch. Our internships for guides and lodge management students occurs directly on the ranch doing real life jobs.
The ESL Wilderness Program at Chilcotin Holidays is a combination ranch and guest experience coupled with English language training set amidst the wilderness. Like all our other training, the ESL courses are based on participation in small groups. This all fits perfectly together.
