This course is the second level of training intended for those interested in guiding adventure tourism trips.
The program objective is to provide the skills and knowledge required of a guide during higher levels of adventures such as Grizzly Bear Viewing.
There is strong emphasis on wildlife identification, habits and seasonal patterns, staff and trip management, regulations, and bear and cougar safety.
There is also advanced training on awareness and safety in regards to bears and cougars.
Prerequisite: 1 or 2 week Wilderness Guide Training or the equivalent in both horse and wilderness experience.
