In the Wild West, a cowboy was nothing without his horse and the same is true today. Our mountain Cayuse horses are from the Cariboo-Chilcotin where the wild herds still roam. Mountain rider They’re calm, stable, and reliable through all terrain — be it stepping on rocks or over fallen trees, climbing up narrow trails or scaling down steep switchback trails along mountain hillsides, or crossing streams and rivers. They do it all — without hesitation.

For this reason, novice to advanced riders can escape on one of our all-inclusive guided wilderness alpine Horse Pack Trips into the alpine meadows, untouched by civilization, or mountain day ride adventures on one of Ranch Based Trips from our Guest Ranch. We custom fit you to a saddle and horse suited to your ability so you can experience the unspoiled nature in Canada’s wilderness that is only reachable on foot or horse.

Enjoy the smell of your horse from your saddle, the quietness, the fresh mountain air and glacier clean cold water seeping out of the sandy shale mountain slopes, and the breathtaking scenery that’s spellbinding. Savour the little things along the trail as your guide collects bear hair from a rubbing tree and points out a deer track along the trail, lupines and Indian paintbrush carpeting an alpine meadow, and a low branch ahead.
